Community School Before and After School Programs

 

BEFORE & AFTER CARE PROGRAMS 

The Before and After School Programs will begin on the first day of school, September 9, 2009.

Our Before and After Care program is now open to Kindergarten students.  Before Care for Kindergarten students currently attending AM program and After care for children curently in the PM program. 
(Kindergarten Enrichment program also available beginning January 26, 2010.)

The Before Care program is scheduled to be held at Long Memorial, Helen I. Smith and Franklin Schools again this year.

The Before Care Program is held from 7:15 AM until 8:40 AM, when teacher supervision begins.  Activities will be provided, however, no food will be served. Children may bring a breakfast snack.  If school is closed due to weather, there will be no Before Care Program.
 
The After School Child Care Program is available in Long Memorial, Helen I. Smith and Franklin Schools to children in Grades K through 6.  It runs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.   On 1:00 PM dismissal days, the program begins at 1:00 PM. 

Our well-staffed program consists of an unwinding and playtime for the children, followed by homework time.  Healthy snacks are provided for the children.   If school is dismissed early due to weather, there will be no After Care Program.  All children must be picked up at their respective schools.
